Kinder Joy: Halloween Special (P.O.P. Display)

Trisha Ann M. Alcantara from 4IND-2

Halloween is nothing without the joy in the eyes of the kids going for a trick or treat. As an important purpose of the display, it aims to appeal kid's curiosity and to further attract them through a point of purchase display. Likewise, incorporating elements, bright colors and visuals are the main focus for this concept design. Common halloween designs are included for the kids’ immediate familiarity with the concept of Halloween. A simple castle that embodies cute spooky designs such as bats, moon, pumpkins, spiders and character icons that are friendly for children.

Cad-o’-Bury

Alliah Jane S. Ayag from 4IND-1

The design is inspired by “Trick or Treat,” where children dressed in costume knock on strangers’ doors to ask for treats on Holloween using the Jack O’ Lantern bucket.

Using the famous Jack O’ Lantern commonly associated with the Holloween holiday, I made a point of Purchase display of Cadbury Chocolate. This concept is effective as kids will be reminded of trick or treat where they usually put the candies on a Jack O’ Lantern bucket. Also, I placed backlights on this Jack O’ Lantern as kids tend to be attracted to bright lights and colors.

Spirited Away Funko Pop Toys (P.O.P. Display)

Luigi A. Benitez from 4IND-2

The concept for this Point of Purchase display is to come up with a nostalgic theme that suits the theme "Halloween". I decided to conceptualize refreshing animated characters for children because it is something unique and different, and it brings curiosity for them. Also, the reason why I did not come up with mainstream characters is that this movie brings a timeless feeling with the simplicity of the story and the element of designs are uniquely remarkable, then it also catches the attention of the parents since the target market for this project is children and also the parents.

Regarding the P.O.P design, I included the important elements from the movie which are the bathhouse and the bridge to create a dimension of realistic perspective in a scaled model.

House of the Pumpkin King

Gray M. Depasupil from 4IND-3

A point of purchase display with a main theme of Tim Burton’s animated film “The Nightmare before Christmas” and a famous Chocolate company brand “Cadbury”. The design concept was heavily inspired by the visuals of the animated film, the Floating House of the main protagonist “Jack Skellington” was recreated which serves as a dump bin that is surrounded by pumpkins, barrels, and sacks where the branded chocolates can be found.

Monsters Inc.

Toy Display

Sydney Cole B. Esteron from 4IND-3

The point of purchase design was inspired by the movie called "Monster Inc." I chose Mike Wazowski as an action figure since it can be easily recognized by children (target market) as a one-eyed circular green monster. I also chose Boo’s door to create a point of view that was both appealing and inviting to the buyer. It needed to feel personal, but also a bit idealized. The curves of the outlined contours, the shapes and placement of the flowers, and color choices were all intentional and deliberate. Every detail of the door needed to be distinguishable from every other door in existence.

CADBURIED: Halloween P.O.P Display

Louise Patricia M. Mariano
from 4IND-1

The design is composed of geometric shapes to ease the building process. I created the panels with filthy bricks texture to make them noticeable even from afar, especially the bright orange color that perfectly fits the Halloween theme. I also indicated a tagline, "No Tricks, Just Treats" to highlight the products this Halloween season.

There is a tall tree in the middle of the brick walls where Spiders and Cadbury logo cutouts are placed to advertise the theme and its brand. The Cadbury logo is also placed at the arch of the wall so that people can easily recognize the products offered and market the brand.

Hershey’s Haunted House P.O.P. Display

John Aaron G. Panganiban
from 4IND-1

The design is based on a haunted house that uses a cartoon approach and animated colors. The iconic haunted house design for point of purchase display can attract kids and adults which can also portray the concept of “Trick or Treat” by acquiring Hershey’s product at the display. The design allows customers to acquire products on both sides of the display using the interior of the house as storage to maximize the given space of the display.

Into the World of Nerds P.O.P. Display

Jennia Mikaela J. Tabisola
from 4IND-2

The goal is to create a 3D Concept design of a point of purchase display for a department store focusing on any of the given categories that aim to attract parents and children for the Halloween season. For my design I chose to design for the Nerds candy. The theme of the design is inspired by the Nerds world imagined during the early 2000s. This POP display has removable ornaments so that it can still be used in any season. Since the design aims to be child-friendly, the nerds-like circle ornaments glows when light hits it. Meaning the design is not electrically powered, this is so that when children who tries to touch the design, they will not get harmed. The goal of this design is for the buyers to have a glimpse of the World of Nerds.
