Angelos

John Gabriel Anilao from 2IND-1

This Model Construction was engineered, designed, and modeled with a passion and a mood for arts. It is inspired from the Fictional Video Games and Movies I’ve loved to play and watch. Most likely by playing PlayStation games like Ratchet and Clank series and Star Wars series, as well as watching Marvel's Avengers. Combining my ideas and creativity the result of it was this unique Sci-Fi spaceship model. With limited resources, it was entirely made out of scraps and other materials that I’ve gathered in the trash.

Bob's Flying Omnibus

Mark Bautista
from 2IND-1

Bob's Flying Omnibus is the avant-garde version of the typical transportation from the late 19th Century in both the United States and Europe were horses are used for riding and transport. Now, on the other hand, we have Bob, an artificial intelligence (AI) robot who is responsible for the operation of the aircraft, the safety of the passengers and crew members.

This sci-fi transportation model is completely made from 100% recycled materials available inside the house, consisting of an old manual ice crusher, empty cologne plastic bottles, scraps, used cardboards, and plastic caps. The model is first coated with a two-layer of Primer and finished with Flat grey spray paint.

Vertikal

Celine Datinguinoo
from 2IND-1

A space shuttle made to look as if it were floating vertically, with its body purposely pointed towards whichever chosen path. Inspired by a some sort of space gun or firearm often used in the world of sci-fi.

This model was made by gathering scraps available at home. It is composed of cut boxes, toilet paper cores, bottle caps, and one bottle. Sprayed a matte black for a clean finish.

Ruiner: An all terrain annihilator

Rafael Keyser from 2IND-1

The Sci-Fi vehicle model is made of materials consisting of a plastic take-out sauce cup and meal container, aluminum capsules, cardboard tissue rolls, a glowstick head, and a tire cap. They’re meant to represent a tank-like, all terrain vehicle.

Final product is finished with a coating of primer and matte grey paint. This concept is inspired by space rovers as seen brought to the moon and mars.

The Subma-Ship

Rebecca Landicho
from 2IND-1

This is a sci-fi transportation model made of recycled materials I found around the house, namely a plastic cup, a small plastic container, a yakult bottle, styrofoam balls, paint brushes, a ping-pong ball, and a pop-socket. It is inspired by a submarine and a spaceship thus the name “Subma-Ship” as it functions both as an aircraft and underwater transportation.

Kiara Masamayor
from 2IND-1

The goal for this model was to create an original design of a science-fiction styled vehicle. The main inspiration for this project are the fictional spacecrafts of Sci-Fi films and shows. About 10-20% of this model is made of sintra board, and the rest are recycled materials such as tin cans, plastic spoons, bottle caps, cereal boxes and other discarded materials I gathered around my house. The rest of the model’s elements are actually based on the plastic carton which takes up most of the model. It is coated with Flat White spray paint.

The Firefall

Carl Padilla
from 2IND-1

A model of a sci-fi transportation that is made up of recycled materials. The body is made of a lotion bottle and a chips tube. It added some details to make it more interesting to look like.

The model has 2 circle wings that serve as a gas exhaust just like space ships to convey the strong power and speed of the model.  This model was inspired by different air transportation and makes the viewers imagine it can fly up until outer space.

The Wasp

Stephen Kingsley Salvador
from 2IND-1

A sci-fi transportation model is made out of recycled materials. Moreover, this was ideally designed to be a helicopter in a sci-fi aspect, and was inspired by used up plastic cups and small shampoo heads. Other than that, this model used up mostly a used up face shield, paper cups, plastic cups, small shampoo heads, and xintra board. Furthermore, this model is named “The Wasp”, because of its large screen showing several views possible to look at, and color.

To create this scifi vehicle model, we had to brainstorm different designs using random materials we could find at home. In my initial design, the vehicle was supposed to be an underwater vehicle with a scope or telescope on top. However, as I added more details to the design, the vehicle started to look as if it could be an air vehicle as well, with a giant propeller and blasters.

This model was made from plastic lids, wires, bottles, styrofoam, mascara wands, cardboard shoe inserts, etc.

We were tasked to create a sci-fi vehicle from the available scrap parts inside our houses. The vehicle was meant to be some sort of fighting vehicle in space. The fastener legs were not in the initial plan but were later added for it to be able to stand on its own.

Materials used are: Styrofoam Bowl, Paper Cup, Broken Fastener parts, Empty Acrylic Paint tubes, Empty Pen cases, and left-over sintra board pieces. Grey Spray paint was used to coat the model.

In creating this model, I was heavily influenced by steampunk sculptures seen within my house. With this, I took inspiration from the spaceships seen within "Guardians of the Galaxy" in creating a spacecraft that incorporates structures seen within the aforementioned influences and inspirations.

Materials used for the model were random house items such as old vacuum parts, recycled plastic bottles, spare elbow pipes, fan parts, broken wifi repeater, plastic straws, broken door hinge, curtain metal rings,  nuts and bolts, and spray painted the whole model using a flat grey paint to finish the model. The materials used aim to give a futuristic iteration of the steampunk look, also aiming to give the impression of the spacecraft being made from scrap parts. In this case, in the form of a spacecraft.

This Sci-Fi vehicle was inspired by a aircrafts that are used in battles. In creating this model I gather more information and techniques on how I can build this vehicle and what materials I will use for the inner details and other parts that will be.

This vehicle was made from different kinds of scrap inside our homes. I decided to use a plastic bottle for the body and straws for the back tail, for the propeller I also use a plastic bottle and cap of a cologne for its stand. The seat is made out of plastic bottle and styrofoam to make it look like leather, for the other parts it was made out of popsicle sticks and cardboard. The model was also coated in matte black spray paint  for the finishing touch

Erika Abe from 2IND-2

As I remember, this is our first task wherein we build a product which is a Sci-Fi Vehicle Model. To be honest, I had a hard time coming up with ideas for this task because the Sci-Fi Model needs to be built using recycled materials. I also found it difficult to find recycled materials because we don't collect garbage in our house. I wanted to make my product more detailed, but given the shortage of materials, this was all I was able to do.
