Volumetric Paper Design:
Plorerang Palayok
Bernadette Nicole Agbuya from 1IND-1
This volumetric model consists of 120 pieces of cut bristol board and has a theme of Philippine history. I had the thought of formulating a model that is inspired by a palayok which I think is one of the important traditions used in Philippine history. With that thought, I also want to change it by turning it into a vase or plorera. So I mixed up the idea of a palayok and a plorera and came up with this.

Plorera
Channel Allaiah B. Cahanding
We were tasked to make a volumetric paper model. I have chosen the word “plorera” as the title of my piece because it is the Filipino word for vase and it fits perfectly to describe the artwork. For this activity, I've used bristol board as the main material. After creating the silhouette that I wanted, I measured and computed each part of the segments for the paper model. After that, using super glue, I carefully and intricately assemble the parts together.

Geometrical Vase
Adrian Kleon M. Ching from 1IND-2
Drawn image with measurements for guide. Using a Bristol board with a drawn layout for each piece and cutting it piece by piece. Having 12 pieces for each layer. Basically, having the model in 12 x 10. Lastly is assembling them all together and done.
John Anthony Del Mundo from 1IND-1
With random thoughts and ideas to incorporate with my design, I came up with the “Pot of Luck”. The design wasn’t the desired outcome and wasn’t clearly the structure I have been aiming for, but out of luck and passion for this project, the final product has turned out this great. It has a simple yet elegant structure that might be quite present in some existing vase designs. But due to its intricate process that is required to be used, it added some sharp edges which made it more unique and complex.

Jack' o Loco
The construction of this plate took place in the season of Halloween. Upon researching, I discovered that the Halloween tradition of pumpkin carving was rich, symbolic, and worth sharing. The quotation “A pumpkin a day, keeps the goblins away” narrates the purpose of this custom, the setting of protection from evil spirits. As an enthusiast of supernatural beings, this idea motivated me to have a Halloween pumpkin-inspired model.

Christmas Borealis
Brianna Maegan D. Dy from 1IND-1
Alas, "Christmas Borealis" was born, which was heavily inspired by the nearing Christmas season as they always said Christmas in the Philippines starts as early as September ("ber" months). At the same time, I thought about turning my projects into something I'd appreciate and probably use for a long time. Therefore through this project, I channeled in my effort and created this little decor for my table during the winter season.

Ho! Ho! Holder
This artwork is a candle stand/centerpiece. Paper materials, such as vellum paper, sintra board, and illustration board, are used to achieve its structure and to maintain its stability. Since the Christmas season is approaching, I used Christmas ornaments for its final look.

Jar Model
Danielle Mae P. Nacar
This had a slight comparison to the paper model construction of a WIRE MODEL project. This time, it will be sort of tough. The way you will assemble it successfully is by familiarizing the one specific formula in MATH subject which contains adding your answers, simple solutions, and even some measuring or scaling features in it. I was up all night and spending much time by working out to assemble this Volumetric Jar Model Construction. I utilized a BRISTOL BOARD for this particular project.

Kinaiya
Colleen Fritzi Santiago
I decided to name my work “Kinaiya” which in definition describes your inner character. These aren’t just your good traits either. It is all the traits or characteristics that make you who you are. I just feel like the piece itself screams my character because it is not just a smooth vase-like structure that we commonly see every day. I want it to have a disposition that does not aim to be “perfect” but to have some sort of message. I decided to go for a design that has many edges to give a more geometric feel. I aim to make it a statement piece.

My Mom's Favorite Vase
Timothy David A. Uy from 1IND-1
I was supposedly planning to make a sphere, but I was very confused with the calculations so I made a simpler design instead: a beautiful vase! And I love how it turned out.
